A missing person + a do-gooder father + a new friend = An adventure in which Naomi finds more than a murderer.

Naomi is off to Australia with her father in her latest vacation. She expects a drama-free trip to Oz with her dependable father. That all ends at check-in when they encounter a young woman searching for her boyfriend. Fellow traveler Daniel drags them into a search for the missing man in the Red Centre. In between sunset tours, daytime hikes, and Vegemite tastings, Naomi wanders ever closer to danger.

A Word From Charlotte Hanley...

I’m Charlotte Hanley, sister to Naomi. Our father invited all of his children—there’s 3 of us— to go to Australia with him for a work trip. But Jeremy and I had school commitments. I’m in medical school and Jeremy is in his sophomore year of college.

            I’m not sure if Naomi has any commitments in her life. Although she does have a cat, Cher, now. I suppose that’s a step in the right direction for her. I helped her pick out the little black cat at the local shelter.

            I‘m not jealous of their vacation. Well, not a lot. I wish I could go on a trip to Australia. But not with Naomi. Traveling with Naomi is exhausting. Who finds a dead body on vacation? Twice?

            I’m sure with our dependable and reasonable father that won’t happen again. Right?

            But it is Naomi.

            I bet it’ll be like I’m traveling with them. I’m sure Naomi will need some medical advice for something. And, if she finds another traveler dead, she’ll call me with all sorts of questions I’ll help her find answers too. (But seriously, it can’t happen a third time, can it?)

            As our mother, Deirdre, would say, ‘Naomi needs to find a man on vacation. A live one, not another dead one.’

            Yes, she has literally said that. And, yes, it’s true.

            Naomi met a handsome man, Thor, on her trip to Iceland with our mother. But she lost him when he thought she was more interested in his friend. The friend was a police officer. She was hitting him up for information on Milo’s death not hitting on him!

            I doubt Naomi will have much luck finding love on this trip. Can you attract a man while traveling with our father? I can’t imagine it.

            Of course, I couldn’t imagine Naomi would turn our safari into a hunt for a murderer.

            Traveling with Naomi is an experience all onto it’s own.
