Meet 28-year-old celebrity blogger Coco Cline, who has started her own social media consulting company in her hometown of Central Shores, Delaware. Her new clients, Peter and Olivia Chen, are ten days away from the grand opening of their specialty consignment shop when Coco finds their store clerk Stacy dead behind the register.

Worried that a cloud of suspicion will ruin their chances of a successful business launch, the Chens ask Coco to work alongside the inexperienced, small-town police force to speed up the investigation. Using her celebrity status and social media savviness, Coco realizes Stacy’s seemingly ordinary life was all an act. Following a trail of cryptic online posts and muddied gossip, Coco and her friends discover Stacy’s questionable relationships just might be the reason for her untimely demise.

Life Advice from your favorite celebrity blogger, Coco Cline

Back in high school, I dreamed of being famous. My best friend Jasper and I stayed up on AOL Instant Messenger until the early hours of the morning chatting about moving to New York and taking the world by storm. Despite staying in Delaware after my college graduation, I was poised to do that. I was a founding partner of LiveIt, a smartphone app that skyrocketed in popularity. As did my own. Being the content creator of Your Way Today, a lifestyle blog integrated into LiveIt's features, I became the face of our brand. My blog had millions of subscribers. I was compared to Gwyneth Paltrow's GOOP and Meghan Markle's The Tig. I had achieved the fame that I always dreamed of…well, let me tell you, be careful what you wish for. Trust me, there is nothing glamorous about getting your picture snapped while leaving a spin class or having your grocery basket analyzed while shopping at the Dover Safeway.

I think that's why I was the first on board when tech powerhouses came knocking at our door to acquire LiveIt. As much as I thought I wanted the life of the rich and famous, it was incredibly draining. Back when we first set out on our little startup venture, I was just a person behind a keyboard, connecting with people all over the world, but in a way I could control. Once LiveIt and my blog Your Way Today began to grow, things began to slip out of my control. My friends were randomly called by reporters. Paparazzi would grab a shot whenever they could. I don't know how the Hollywood A-Listers handle the pressure. I barely managed to living in Dover, Delaware.

I realized how much I missed my privacy and how much I needed a sense of normalcy to be happy with my life. Even though I received a pretty hefty chunk of change when Facebook won the bid to acquire LiveIt, money wasn't buying me happiness. So, I returned to the one place that had always felt safe, felt like home…home! If you had told me I would be returning to Central Shores, Delaware, a place I dreamed of leaving every day since I was an angsty teen, before I even turned thirty…I would have thought you were crazy. But like all those decorative throw pillows and art canvases say at HomeGoods, "Home is where the heart is."

In Central Shores, I can still conquer the online world from my computer or iPhone, but no paparazzi are interested in trekking out to the quiet, Delaware coastline for shots of me grabbing coffee every day. Since I’m no longer involved in LiveIt, I decided to start my own business, on top of still running Your Way Today. Running a blog is hard work, but I’ve had years to perfect my formula for posting, so I was ready for an added challenge. Since a good chunk of my blog’s success came from my PR skills, I decided I could help small, struggling businesses increase their foot traffic online and in-store. That’s how Center of Attention Consulting was born. Now, not only do I spend my days curating content for my blog, but I help business owners understand the ways of the big bad web and how to make themselves a social media star.

It's been wonderful to continue building my own (albeit small) empire and yet have the peace and serenity of my hometown to make me feel protected. Sure, I don’t mind (in fact I relish) running into fans of my blog at local stores and events around the state. I do love being in the spotlight…I just like to make sure I can adjust the wattage to be within my comfort zone.

Unfortunately, once a dead body shows up in the back of a clients' store, I find myself not the center of attention, but the center of a nasty murder investigation.
