Hayden has settled into her alternate, magical new home of Destiny Falls. She’s learning about the people here and the enchanted place, but something is amiss. When too many things occur to call them coincidences, all signs point to the mysterious disappearance of her mother – way back when Hayden was just two days old. Could it be connected to the mysterious ferry? Can she identify and eliminate the threat before another person in her life is stolen away?

My Review

In an Alice in Wonderland type fashion, Hayden has fallen through a magical mirror into another world. Here she discovers she not only has a brother, but sisters as well. Hayden is desperately seeking answers as to why the family has been separated. This new world is a wonderfully magical place, but there are certain rules of which she must abide.  She is allowed to make contact with the outside world, but if she mentions anything about where she is, the communication does not go through.

The book is quite interesting. There is a murder, a kidnapping, and lots of family bonding. I'm not quite sure how I feel about the various characters other than I must feel as Hayden does - not entirely sure about who to trust.

One should definitely read this series from the start to get the full effect and understanding of this story.
