by Edward Avanessy

GENRE: Supernatural Thriller, Suspense

Richard, (Kiki Coto) is destined to fight corruption, and criminal organizations, whose members include politicians, judges, district attorneys, police, and others, to exonerate an innocent young lady wrongfully accused of murder. He is fighting an impossible battle. The criminals are very organized, interconnected, and conspire with each other methodically. Struggling to defeat the evil, Richard seeks help from all sources, including Ayahuasca and Divine intervention.

Richard looked at Jose Luis and Maria Elena and asked, “Why don’t you explain?”

Father and mother looked at each other and looked down for a couple of seconds.

Then, the father said, “The truth is that she is our daughter, and we love her like our daughter, and Bill is aware how much we love her and how much she loves us. But we are not afraid of Acabar, and we are ready to fight and even die for her. Tell her that she must tell the truth and should not take responsibility for something she didn’t do.”

“What do you mean, we love her like our daughter?” asked Rosa Maria.

Jose Luis took a deep breath and started explaining.

“Your mom and I were married for several years and could not have children. I was working for Mr. Robert, Bill’s father, in his construction projects. When I was working north of the border, Abraham, Robert’s partner and a friend, called me and told me he knew how much we wanted to have a child. He told me he had asked someone to take a little orphan girl to my house and asked me to take care of her as my own. When I called your mom, she was ecstatic and told me that God had answered our prayers and brought us a little angel. We decided to raise her as our own and not tell anyone she was adopted. For that reason, we moved far away from that neighborhood to this location.”

Tears started running from Richard’s eyes. Seeing Richard crying, Rosa Maria and Jose Antonio got teary-eyed as well.

A note from the author

"The different episodes of this book were projected to me, like movie clips during meditation sessions. I was compelled to visit a Shaman retreat in Cusco, Peru, and experience Ayahuasca to complete the manuscript. I hope you enjoy the results, the story of Kiki Coto." - Edward Avanessy
