  1. This sounds like a great fantasy. I like the cover.

  2. Sounds like the beginning of a great fantasy series. I love the character name, Elin

  3. She looks very wild and troublesome.

  4. I think the girl looks sad, angry and terrified all at once, though grimly determined.

  5. Elin is a little wild to start with. Describing her as sad, angry, terrified and determined pretty much sums her up. Thanks for pointing that out - I'm too close to it to have really seen that. The designer nailed her personality!!

  6. This sounds intriguing. The cover is eye catching.

  7. A Shimmer of Magic sounds like an excellent fantasy read for my granddaughter to enjoy and I like the cover!

Thanks for sharing it with me and have a splendid day!

  8. Jane Shand is a new author to me, but I want to thank this blog for the introduction.
I look forward to reading this book.

  9. This sounds like a good entry into the genre, but I am beginning to believe that part of pre-marital counseling for 'magical' parent possibles should include some arrangement for any children left parentless to be raised in such a way that they don't find out about their own abilities with no preparation!
