Rebirth of a Sage

Rebirth of a Sage

by Lani Gonzales

GENRE:   Spirituality/Self Help/Memoir

A TRANSFORMATIONAL MEMOIR OF LOVE AND LIGHT.

In Lani Gonzales' intimate self-help debut, Rebirth of a Sage, readers meet the woman she was when she discovered ayahuasca and commenced her journey toward spiritual rejuvenation. Panicked, fearful, and drained, she hoped for an escape for both her and the lonely little girl she'd buried inside. Guided by the Shamans and supported by friends she made along the way, her cleanse progressed one ceremony at a time, culminating in a state of pure spiritual refinement.

Through eleven soul-stirring chapters enriched with enlightenment and healing, readers experience a kaleidoscope of emotions as they journey with Lani. A heartwarming chronicle ensues, traversing the blissful highs and devastating lows she faced along her way to rebirth. Unburying her darkest demons, she inspires us to do the same, gradually weaving threads of transformation and encouraging us to reconnect and reignite the divine flame within our souls.

Excerpt:

My chronic illnesses, uncurable by doctors, had vanished.  My allergies dissipated.  I started and ended each day with meditation and gratitude instead of a handful of medications.  My body knew exactly how to heal itself.  After decades of relying on doctors who medicated my symptoms, I learned to trust my body, and it finally found the cure.

Q&A With the Author

What did you enjoy most about writing this book?

Writing my first book, Rebirth of a Sage was a cathartic experience.  I spent most of my life hiding the parts of myself that were “imperfect” and “shameful.”  Writing Rebirth of a Sage was a proclamation to myself that there are no bad or unworthy parts of me.  Although my intention of writing Rebirth of a Sage was to spread love and light, Rebirth of a Sage became a gift of self-love and validation to myself.

Do you have any other books you are working on that you can tell us about?

My next book is called, “The Faces of God.”  There are so many books about famous people. The Obamas, Gandhi, Mother Teresa, Martin Luther King, etc.  I’ve travelled the world solo, and the most meaningful life lessons I’ve received were from ordinary people, locals and strangers that most people would simply pass by. From each person I met through my travels, I saw divinity: I saw God.  The Faces of God will tell the stories of “ordinary” people and their divinity within.

Can you tell us about what you have planned for the future?

After participating in the ayahuasca ceremony described in Rebirth of a Sage, I was inspired to go back to school to become a hypnotherapist. Traditional counseling is helpful, but profound healing can be accomplished when we explore the subconscious mind.  Ayahuasca is an intense means of exploring the subconscious, but it isn’t readily accessible.  Hypnotherapy is an effective and more accessible way of healing the subconscious mind.

In December 2022, I will be launching Ad Astra Awakening. Through Ad Astra Awakening, I will be offering a retreat for people in the United States to participate in ayahuasca ceremonies in Colombia.  It will include coaching a month before the ceremony, guiding people through the experience of ayahuasca in Colombia and continued support and guidance three months after the experience.

How long have you been writing?

I’ve been journaling ever since I was in middle school.  Putting pen to paper has always put me at ease and helped me gather my thoughts.  It was not until this year that I finally found the courage to share my writing and publish my first book.

Anything more you would like to say to your readers and fans?

I wrote Rebirth of a Sage to honor my truth and to finally speak about the secrets that poisoned me.  I hope that it encourages you to do the same.  There is value in every human experience, and everyone deserves to speak their truth.
