Q&A With the Author:

What did you enjoy most about writing this book?

I think what I enjoyed most was developing the relationships between the characters. They each have big decisions to make, and each effects the others.

Do you have any other books you are working on that you can tell us about?

I’m currently working on a book called Tails from the Trail. It’s short stories set on a dog-friendly trail near the city. So far, several tell stories that involve the trail and the regular dog walkers, and one is told from the dog’s point of view.

Can you tell us about what you have planned for the future?

One step at a time. I’ll be involved with promoting the Musical Murders series and writing the Tails stories. Then I’ll need to get those stories out into the world.  Promotion isn’t my favorite thing, but communicating my love of dogs to my readers will make it worthwhile. Personally, I’m planning on doing some traveling. Every year I take my daughter somewhere for her birthday. We just got back from Costa Rica and are planning our next adventure, in the Southwest. Who knows what stories that will inspire?

How long have you been writing?

I’ve always loved writing. I started Music is Murder, the first book in the Musical Murders series, twenty-eight years ago. I worked on it off and on, in between inspirational articles written for magazines. The last two books in the series, Ballistics at the Ballet, and Fireworks on the Fourth, have been written in the last three years, working around COVID.

Anything more you would like to say to your readers and fans?

A heartfelt “thank you!” I love that you’ve appreciated and followed the books, and there’s nothing better than hearing from you. Enjoy!!!
