Q&A With the Author:

What was your inspiration for writing this book?

Many years ago, pre children, I ran the Otis Air Force Base ceramic shop. I always enjoyed my time working there. In the military, people come and go in your life. One minute they are taking your class and the next they have been transferred and are gone. I always thought it would be cool to write about a ceramic shop and someone disappearing who was connected with it.

What did you enjoy most about writing this book?

I spent nine years in Maine in a very small town out in the middle of nowhere. This book brought back memories of living in Cutler and the people I befriended while living there.

Do you have any other books you are working on that you can tell us about?

I am working on book #2 in the Braddock Mysteries, Bloom Where You Are Planted, which Level Best Books will release next year. I also write cozy mysteries for Summer Prescott Books Publishing. Number 7 in my Trash to Treasure series will be out soon and I just had book #1 of a new series, Paint and Sip Cozy Mysteries, go up on Presale on Amazon.

I also self-publish cozies and new books will be out this summer in my Shipwreck Café Mysteries and The Jelly Shop Mysteries.

Can you tell us about what you have planned for the future?

I was going to retire this year and become a full-time writer, but the cards held something different for me. I will work one more summer at the drive-in where I have been the cook for 19 years and then retire at the end of summer 2024.

I plan to continue with my writing until I am pushing up daisies.

Anything more you would like to say to your readers and fans?

I would like to say thank you. Your continued support has kept my spirits up and been the force that has kept me writing even when I wanted to give up. Any author out there would be lucky to have the readers I have and the fact my reader base grows every day. Thank you from the bottom of my heart and from every key on my keyboard.
