After one of Evan’s photos catches suspicious activity in the background, Molly is ready to call the authorities with the newest piece of information. However, an anonymous phone call which threatens not only her, but Evan and their pets, convinces Molly to clam up and find the murderer herself. Will the tenuous situation end up being picture perfect or a photo bomb?

About Ruth J. Hartman

Ruth J. Hartman spends her days herding cats and her nights spinning mysterious tales. She, her husband, and their cats love to spend time curled up in their recliners watching old Cary Grant movies. Well, the cats sit in the people’s recliners. Not that the cats couldn’t get their own furniture. They just choose to shed on someone else’s.

Ruth, a left-handed, cat-herding, farmhouse-dwelling writer uses her sense of humor as she writes tales of lovable, klutzy women who seem to find trouble without even trying.

Ruth’s husband and best friend, Garry, reads her manuscripts, rolls his eyes at her weird story ideas, and loves her despite her insistence all of her books have at least one cat in them. See updates about her cozy mysteries at Ruthjhartman.com.

Q&A With the Author:

What was your inspiration for writing this book?

I’ve always loved cats, so writing any story about them is fun. This one, however, is even more enjoyable, because there are so many cats in each story. I also loved doing research about mobile cat groomers. I think their profession is fascinating.

What did you enjoy most about writing this book?

I love writing about the cats, Jasper, and Percival, as well as the cats that the main character, Molly, has as her mobile cat grooming clients. The cats all have distinct and sometimes unusual personalities, so are fun to write about!

Do you have any other books you are working on that you can tell us about?

I’m just finishing up Book 2 in my Seneca James Mysteries. This series takes place on a butterfly farm owned by the main character, Seneca. It’s due to release this fall.

Can you tell us about what you have planned for the future?

The Seneca James Mysteries and The Mobile Cat Groomer Series will each have a third book coming out in 2025. I plan more books for my Bookshop Kitties Mysteries series, and am working on Book 4 in my Kitty Beret Café Series too!

Anything more you would like to say to your readers and fans?

Thank you so much to all of you who read my stories, leave book reviews for them, and for the wonderful comments you all leave for me on social media. I appreciate it all so much and you make it all worthwhile for me to write the stories I love to tell!
