It’s springtime, and Tabby figures what better way to unite the town of Crystal Cove than creating a community garden! The problem is, she knows nothing about tending the earth. However, there are several folks in town who have strong beliefs in how to start a garden right—unfortunately, all of these strong beliefs seem to disagree with one another.

Tabby thinks she has it handled when she comes up with a system that makes each group of gardeners feel valued in their plans and opinions, but when one of the most opinionated women turns up dead in the middle of the fresh soil, it seems she has another murder on her hands—and one she feels at least partially responsible for.

Join Tabby, Jay, Aaron, and Sherlock as they investigate and try to get to the bottom of this garden tragedy.

Q&A With the Author:

What was your inspiration for writing this book?

During the beginning of the pandemic, while people were adding additions onto their houses or cleaning out their garages, I got into gardening. I spent hours on the phone with friends who knew the garden a lot better than I did, getting tips. Then, the whole time, as I was digging and mixing and planting and watering, I was also plotting. I knew the garden would be the setting of a new mystery, but I didn’t know which one until I started on Tragic Tuesday

What did you enjoy most about writing this book?

My favorite part of writing all of my mysteries is usually the cat antics. This one was no different, and I had a lot of fun figuring out how Sherlock could involve himself in the mystery and ultimately help save the day.

Do you have any other books you are working on that you can tell us about?

Yes! This is the final book in the Tabitha Chase Days of the Week Mysteries (officially, anyway) and so I’m busy plotting out a new mystery series—this one set on a cruise ship! I love seeing the world via cruise ships and I’ve been having a lot of fun with this one already. I’m also considering taking a research trip!

Can you tell us about what you have planned for the future?

At this point I’m putting a lot of work into developing my online book shop (It can be found at ) I would love to put out collectables to accompany each book and maybe some artwork and puzzles. Keep an eye out. As I have new ideas, you’ll find them there.

Anything more you would like to say to your readers and fans?

I love hearing from readers! If you have enjoyed one of my books, or even a cozy mystery by another author, I always love to hear about it. I also love to write bonus content! If this sort of thing interests you, be sure to sign up for my newsletter at so you don’t miss a single one.
